It took 232 years for the Supreme Court to even rule on the Second Amendment because it has never been successfully challenged. In the 2008 case of
Columbia v. Heller,. the Supreme Court ruled that a handgun ban in Washington D.C.
was unconstitutional. One also has to take this into consideration. The Supreme
Court, the highest court in the land, supports an individual's right to own guns.
For those who try to debate the spirit
of the Second Amendment, they are no different from people who try to
take Biblical quotes out of context to try to support their immoral decisions.
I have perhaps belabored this this point. Can you tell that I feel strongly on the subject of constituational rights?
Speak up about it! That's one of our rights as well!
